current skin care routine

for oily/combo/acne-prone skin

updated july 2017

includes 6 steps: cleanser (with brush), toner, medication, oil control, eye cream, moisturizer

  1. Cleanser: Glytone Mild Gel Cleanser – categorized as: a must-have; my skin is addicted to this cleanser and will not tolerate anything else
  2. Brush: Ulta Dual Action Cleansing Brush System – categorized as: a must-have; essential to healthy, smooth skin
  3. Toner: Thayer’s Alcohol-Free Rose Petal Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera – categorized as: a must-have; a true life-saver, it smells so good and feels fresh, light, and moisturizing
  4. Acne medication: Epiduo & Clindamycin (prescription only) – categorized as: a must-have; a true life-saver, these medications cured my stage 4 cystic acne
  5. Oil control: ZO Medical Cebatrol Oil Control Pads – categorized as: debatable; this product DOES reduce the oil on my skin, but I tend to not use it as frequently as I should because there are only 60 pads/bottle and that is only 60 days worth of product for a $65 price point. i’m open to trying something new that targets oil.
  6. Eye cream: No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Eye Cream – categorized as: unsure; i’m not completely convinced this product is achieving any results. i do not hate it, although it is slightly drying for my under eyes, but i am definitely open to trying other anti-aging eye creams, especially ones that come with more product for a similar price point.
  7. Moisturizer: Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer – categorized as: a must-have; finding a moisturizer for my oily skin that does not make me break out is nearly impossible, but i love this moisturizer. it is soothing, lightweight, and smells amazing. will be trying more origins products in the future.
